A Chain Sling is a heavy-duty lifting assembly made from high-strength alloy steel chains, designed for safely hoisting and moving loads in rigging, construction, manufacturing, and offshore operations. Known for their durability, flexibility, and resistance to impact, abrasion, and high temperatures, chain slings are ideal for harsh lifting environments. They are available in single-leg to four-leg configurations, with various hooks and connectors.
Grade 80 (G80) – Standard for lifting
Grade 100 (G100) – Higher strength, lighter weight
Grade 120 (G120) – Premium performance (optional in some regions)
6 mm to 32 mm diameter (common), Custom sizes available for larger capacities
Depends on chain grade, diameter, and configuration
Example (single leg, G80):
13 mm chain – WLL ~5.3 tons
20 mm chain – WLL ~12.5 tons
Single leg (1-leg)
Double leg (2-leg)
Triple leg (3-leg)
Quad leg (4-leg)
Adjustable or endless chain slings
Master links, clevis or eye hooks, shortening clutches, latch hooks, swivels.
All components made of compatible alloy steel
Typically 4:1
Proof tested and certified as per lifting regulations
EN 818-4, ASME B30.9, ISO 4778
Resistant to cuts, abrasion, heat, and chemical exposure
Adjustable leg lengths and multiple leg options for complex lifts
Reusable and repairable with proper maintenance
Suitable for hot work (upto ~400°C for G80)
Easier to handle than wire rope slings of equivalent capacity
